SU | GODS IN CLAY

SU Gods in Clay is a lyrical short documentary set in Kunhimangalam, a heritage town along Kerala’s Malabar coast, where a 900-year-old sculptural tradition continues to shape sacred bronze and clay forms. The film follows self-taught master craftsman Prem, whose hands carry decades of inherited knowledge, tracing his pursuit of perfection, his deeply personal relationship with form and anatomy, and his belief that art itself is the true deity.

Rooted in ritual, memory and resilience, the film reveals a workspace where heritage is not preserved as history, but lived through every sculpture created.
